141 youngsters participate in the school championship organized by El Llobregat Open Chess Tournament

The awards ceremony was led by the mayoress of Sant Boi de Llobregat Mrs. Lluisa Moret and the former Bulgarian women's world champion Antoaneta Stefanova.

The school championship organized by El Llobregat Open Chess Tournament had a participation of 141 youngsters -accompanied by a large public attendance- held in the same room where the grandmasters play the main tournament in the afternoon from 17:00 hours in Can Massallera.

The event ended with the victory of Pau Manel Prada Villagrasa (Colon Sabadell Chessy), second place went to Marc Lozano Casasayas (Barberà C.E.) and third place to Alex Villa Tornero (Montornés C.E.). The awards ceremony was held at 13:30 in the afternoon with the attendance of the authorities headed by the mayoress of Sant Boi de Llobregat Lluisa Moret Sabidó with the presence of the runner-up world champion of veterans 2022 GM José Luis Fernández García (commonly known as Txelu Fernández) and the former Bulgarian women’s world champion Antoaneta Stefanova.
